The Movie Player is totem, as suggested above.

gnome mplayer (this is on Debian 6) plays the movie, but, not very
well - it is choppy; both the video and the audio, replroduce a little
bit, then stop, then a little bit more, then stop, etc.

vlc seems the only one of the three mentioned, that successfully
processes the file /plays the video file.
