How do I enable hardware acceleration?
With hardware acceleration enabled, Gnome3 will be enabled as well, correct?

After installation of Debian 7.5, the first time you reboot in to the
installed OS, there is a message in the top black-colored bar near the right-hand corner of the monitor.
The message says "Gnome3 fails to load".

I do not know what actions to take to run Gnome3 as it is reported to be disabled. That is the purpose of my original post on this forum.
Error message: Gnome3 fails to load.
Misbehaviors:
1. Windows that are open cannot be automatically resized.
2. There is no "Activities" tab. (N.B.: Under the "Activities" tab, you can add or remove favorites)
