Your relay host (or smart host) name is the domain name that you enter
into GUI mail clients for sending mails via SMTP. Gmail example:

smtp.gmail.com
Port 465

A smart host usually accepts mails (via SMTP) from a specific set of
users and delivers it to the appropriate system (which is running some
kind of MTA itself).
