It is segfaulting, how bad :-(
Can you login into fallback mode with the new user or is it failing at
the same point?

I don't know... my upgrade path was very smoothly, I did it a couple of
days ago and it worked well.
I would search at Google for that error and see what other users
experiencing a similar fault are saying about it:
