I found nntpget and found out how that's supposed to work. I think unless there's a real good reason to use trn rather than tin or slrn I'll leave trn off of this system. I don't have a problem going up complex learning curves if there's a good reason to do so but in this case based on what I now know trn won't be substantially more beneficial.
