Wow... If you meant "1 core" that was hard to interpret ;-)
Okay, consider then increasing the number of cores to 1/2 of the host: if
host only has 1 core, then that's fine; if host has 4 cores, giving 2 to
the guest won't hurt and could make things speed up.
