Sorry, I've had some coffee now so maybe I can be a little more clear.
The link I referred to is in the far right column, labelled 'needs
bnx2 firmware' and after following the link I see that it actually
goes into the cd archive to where the firmware is zipped|tarred [1].
My apologies.
As for providing the firmware on a flash drive during installation,
that's the first time I've done it and was pleasantly surprised at how
well it worked. I have some Dell PE2950s that need the bnx2 firmware
as well, but was able to install the necessary package because it was
an update and not a clean install. Bonno, if you're still having
issues with the Dell give me some details and I'll see if I can help.
