Yes. Works fine with my macminig4 box.

This is somewhat my question: how do I know that ?

Again this is my question. Anyway I used dd and I can copy the iso image:
$ dd if=/dev/sr0 of=backup.iso
16386432+0 records in
16386432+0 records out
8389853184 bytes (8.4 GB) copied, 687.9 s, 12.2 MB/s
I'll try next to see if I can burn that iso now.
