First off, owner@ is for reporting problems with the bug tracking
system, not discussing outcomes related to bugs.

The best thing you can do is to provide a patch that fixes the
problem. Baring that, making the problem as clear as possible and as
easily reproducible as possible will all aid in allowing a maintainer
to see what the problem is and get a fix for it in place. Finally, fam
is currently being "maintained" by a series of NMUs and doesn't appear
to have an active maintainer. As such, there's no one who is actively
watching its set of bugs.
