Hello:

When I copy text from a webpage in Iceweasel, the pasted text includes
material not visible on the page (because styled 'display:none'). Other
browsers (Opera on Linux, Google Chrome on Windows) simply paste the visible
text. Is there any way to tell Iceweasel to do likewise?

Can you give us a sample URL we caqn try this on?

I have a bunch of edited US Supreme Court cases for my students. Here's an
example:

http://ul451.gsu.edu/courts.gov/c/editedUS/460/460.US.204.81-1003.html

In that example, you'll notice an ellipsis ([...]) between paragraphs 6 and
17. If you copy from paragraph 6 through the ellipsis to paragraph 17,
Iceweasel picks up paragraphs 7-16, not visible in the browser, so that the
entire content, visible and not, gets pasted. Opera doesn't do that, and
neither does Chrome (on Windows).

Interesting. If you click on the ellipsis, the text appears.

Appears to be a bug, but might be SOP. (It's also in FF 3.1b2, so you might want to file a bug at mozilla.org Firefox.)
