Here's the result. Still won't work :( FYI, I haven't said that I am
using Debian Testing

za@zara:~$ xhost + localhost
localhost being added to access control list

za@zara:~$ su -
Password:

zara:~# DISPLAY=localhost:0.0 gparted
(gpartedbin:11534): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: localhost:0.0

zara:~# DISPLAY=localhost:0.0 ; export DISPLAY ; gparted
(gpartedbin:11552): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: localhost:0.0
