Is there initrd?
Have you tried with make oldconfig?
Hi,
I'm not building the kernel myself, I"m using the standard debian kernel package. (apt-get install)
It's starting to boot, but then it gets stuck at 'Waiting for root file system'.
Then it hangs for a long time..
and then he says:
'ALERT! /dev/sda6 does not exist . Dropping to a shell!'
but /dev/sda6 is correct..
