Really? Not me. But then, I typically use "make oldconfig".

I'm pretty sure that there's an option during the kernel build
process to allow people to force kernel panics. Not wanting that,
I've never paid much attention to it. Google or lkml should have
some more info, though.
Do you have any particular portion of the kernel that you want to
force to fail?
