I think you misunderstand the purpose of the command. wodim -scanbus
looks only for devices wodim can read from or write to, which means
cd/dvd-burner and -reader. I don't think, that you want to burn with the
jaz nor the zip-drive, because they are disk drives. Mount them as usual
and you should be fine.

If you want your drives to be detected, use hwinfo or discover or similar.
