Re: How to install nvidia-glx_100.14.09 at sid ?

thanks Florian Kulzer

my problem is
OpenGL won't start - "dual-TMU support error"
Note: This is likely a version-specific bug for the nVidia drivers.

If you have a very recent nVidia card or similar, you may get an error that says "Please install a 3D accelerator card with dual-TMU support."

You will need the latest beta drivers 100.14.xx (at the time of this edit), in order to start X. 100.14.09 drivers worked fine for me with WoW however 100.14.11 exhibited this error message.

Rollback if you get this and wait for more stable Wine/WoW/NVidia combination.

-- This problem has appeared on the Intel 910GMA chipset. It may have something to do with having no proper hardware support working as glxgears produced <1 FPS in this same circumstance.

You can find older versions of Debian packages at snapshot.debian.org:

http://snapshot.debian.net/archive/2007/06/20/debian/pool/non-free/n/nvidia-graphics-drivers/

However, I would first check your GLX configuration by running the
following command in a xterm (or similar):

glxinfo | grep direct

You should get the output "direct rendering: Yes". If you get "No" then
you have to fix your configuration. We can of course help you with that.
In that case, run

egrep '^\((EE|WW)\)' /var/log/Xorg.0.log

and post the output here. (This will list all errors and warnings of
your X server.)

> ps. sorry my english..

Don't worry; it is no problem to understand you.
