You can find older versions of Debian packages at snapshot.debian.org:

http://snapshot.debian.net/archive/2007/06/20/debian/pool/non-free/n/nvidia-graphics-drivers/

However, I would first check your GLX configuration by running the
following command in a xterm (or similar):

glxinfo | grep direct

You should get the output "direct rendering: Yes". If you get "No" then
you have to fix your configuration. We can of course help you with that.
In that case, run

egrep '^\((EE|WW)\)' /var/log/Xorg.0.log

and post the output here. (This will list all errors and warnings of
your X server.)
