which shows,at least as the temp is concerned that mbmon gets temp3, the ambient temperature, but not temp1, the mobo temperature, or temp2, the CPU temperature.

The mobo is en EP-8VTAI, which I would not get anymore.

As to why you'd have to get mbmon's source and dig it out, I guess.

On my box, with Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe AM2 (Athlon64) running amd64, mbmon
shows three temps but doesn't get all the volts. I also don't know
as the temps are accurate; would the CPU really be 252. There are only
2 fans in the box that report speed: the CPU fan and the case's
cross-flow squirrel cage, so I know that the CPU fan is running.

Temp.= 26.0, 252.0, 30.0; Rot.= 3571, 4470,    0
Vcore = 1.26, 3.18; Volt. = 0.00, 4.73, 11.19, -0.00, -0.00

I tried to use lmsensors but last time I tried, it said there were no
sensors.

is that what sensors-detect says?
