I made the mistake of doing a dist-upgrade today. Kernel 2.6.18-4-k7 was "upgraded". Now the system load is unusally high and things run slow.
Does anyone have any advice?
You could roll back to the previous kernel and mark it in apt/dpkg so it is 'held back'.
I forget off top of my head now how to do this, but the documentation on debian.org should provide the answers, or someone else here can tell you how to do it.
