My point is that there have been so many spurious claims (from
either anger/revenge or hypersensitivity) that there is automatic
"negative" suspicion among fair-minded men who ordinarily would be
"on your side".

Similarly, the Duke Non-Rape Case *will* severely harm real rape
victims, by lowering a serious cloud of doubt/mistrust above them.
