The proponents of CD degaussing are nothing more than witch doctors
practicing voodoo.

Voodoo has power only to the extent that the intended victims fear the
witch doctor.  And there always is a segment of the populace which is
susceptible to voodoo.  But eventually too many of the people get wise
to the deception, at which point the witch doctor must flee for his
life from an angry crowd carrying tar, feathers, clubs, and a rope
with a noose.
