xserver-xorg doesn't have anything to do with booting, it has to do with
Xwindow.

What kind of a driver for a printer? "Drivers" in Linux are part of the
kernel. Printer stuff is usually part of ghostscript such as gs-esp.

At what point in boot is the system hanging and what are the last few
messages you see on the screen?

Doug.
