High CPU load with AIGLX when watching tv or movie

I'm using testing with latest nvidia driver (graphics card is Ge6600 and CPU is Barton 2500+) and I'm playing around with AIGLX and compiz. I observed that the CPU usage is much higher when using compiz than without it. For example tvtime uses the CPU around 10% and bellow without compiz and 45-50% when using compiz, similar is the situation in case of mplayer: 5% and bellow without compiz and 25-30% with compiz when watching a movie. Do you know a trick to eliminate this or should I resign myself until some improvements will be done? Would be worth trying beryl?
