You can just use a standard Debian installation (i.e. you do not
have to use a ~/.xinitrc) by editing (or creating) the file called
"startup" in your ~/.icewm directory.

You can automatically start any programs you like by just having
lines like

nautilus&

in the ~/icewm/startup file. Do not forget the &.
