It's an anti-spammer-address-harvesting technique people.
Annoying, and lame, but that's why they're doing it. There was an Ask Slashdot 
article recently in which use of Javascript-driven address obfuscation was 
mentioned as a possible technique .... lemme see ..... yes, here it is :

BTW: the "decryptString" address bar trick doesn't work with Sarge's Konqueror 
3.3.2 either :(
