For a sarge install I would download the first CD and use both CD and
ftp/http as source. This way, if you have the package on the CD it
gets installed much faster (no need to download again).

BTW, as writen in the faq (www.debian.org/CD/faq), you only need CD1 and 2
unless you have special needs.
