who closed my networking ports?
I have apparently only 22 (ssh) and 631 (ipp, ie cups) open, but
I can't work out why other ports are closed when on IRC I am told
debian doesn't set up a firewall by default.
And indeed iptables -L indicates I don't have any chains set up.
It must be some other program. But I don't know how to determine
what that program is. I don't have many packages installed.
Grepping through /etc for 631 only brings up the cups
directories.
I wonder what would happen if I tried installing another
networking server like apache.
I have exim but port 23 is closed.
