It is NOT recommended to run Linux 2.6 on a 486.

I have installed Woody with Linux 2.4.27 (was neccesary because my
PCMCIA cards) on a Laptop Toshiba T1950CT with a 486/dx50 and 12 MB
of memory (I do not find the 16 MByte Memory card anymore)...

So Woody 3.0 would be nice.
