You can write some kind of wrapper script
#!/bin/sh
PATH=/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/local/bin
sudo firestarter
or maybe add `&`
#!/bin/sh
PATH=/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/local/bin
sudo firestarter &
then put this script somewhere in /usr/bin
and in desktop file Exec=your_script_wrapper_name
But i think, that there is some docs about desktop files syntax
I don't know exactly where, but look here http://freedesktop.org/
