My user is in the group audio. Precautionly a changed the access rights
for owner, group and all to rwx for the devices
/dev/dsp
/dev/dsp1
/dev/mixer
/dev/mixer1
/dev/rtc
/dev/snd/*

After this I started alsaconf again - without effect.
