Hi Chris,

I'm mixing sarge, etch and sid. Only problems I encoutered were with
packages from Sid and even those would get fixed quite soon, sometimes
in a matter of hours.

What I recommend is to use so called apt-pinning. Basically you put
stable, testing and unstable repositories in your sources list and
configure your apt preferences to use packages from stable, unless you
specify otherwise.
