setiathome package needs to be removed from archives
the setiathome package is out of date to the point that it can no longer
connect to its web site to download and build the tar file that used to be
provided. The software has been updated so that many other projects can
also take advantage of common computer power the same way setiathome did
and is now under the name of BOINC and in order to run the BOINC package
and attach to any of the projects different information has to be
downloaded from the http://setiathome.berkeley.edu web site. setiathome
is one project you can attach to but there are about 9 others available
some of which use the computing power to find cures for diseases.
setiathome needs donations and may go away if it doesn't meet its goals
but BOINC will live on and setiathome may live on too if enough people
with enough dollars donate.
