Hi Carlos,
Before DVD's, debian sarge was/is available in a 14 cd set. This set was
created with the intent to provide the most used items on the first cd
and so on with the 14th cd being the least used software. And most folks
could install a complete Debian/Gnu linux system with Gnome/kde with the
first 3 CDs. This would imply that the #1 DVD should contain cd  #1-7 of
the cd set and would be enough for most server and desktop users.
