i have this message as well, but i think it is not related to the recent
upgrade. i had it before (i'm running sid, but didn't install the last
updates to avoid problems :).

for me it seems to be connected with the fact that i have font lines for
xfs and xfstt and an additional line for the 'fixed' font (just in case
that fontserver crashes/is not available for some reason)
