I can understand and appreciate that. It's probably an oversight on the
part of the maintainer (that is, if they _didn't_ want to apply it, they
would probably tell you so or close the bug). To quote a local phrase,
"Shy bairns get nowt": I'd suggest just being persistent and prodding
the maintainer for a definitive response at intervals.
