I have a Debian Woody with a few backports, dual bootable Windows 98SE.
It always ran like a champ until one day I changed my mouse with PS/2
adaptor for a straight PS/2... With the intent of some day maybe running
X without a mouse. [Translator's note: that last sentence doesn't make
much sense to me.]

A vece me

The thing is that the machine _seems_ to freeze up, yes that's right,
I can't change num lock, for example, I can't go to the consoles, or
anything. At times it lets me start a session if I unplug the mouse,
using the keypad and so forth, but after a little while it stops
responding to the keyboard and mouse.

I say that it _seems_ to freeze up, since the GKrellm indicators
continue runing just fine, and the clock as well.

The thing is, how to look at the X or the system logs if I can't get the
machine to work?

¿Deberé arrancar en modo monousuario?

Should I boot in single user mode?

¿Cómo se hace eso?

How is that done?

Gracias,

Thanks.

You have found the bank of Larn.
I can explain it for you, but I can't understand it for you.
I speak only for myself, and I am unanimous in that!
