xine vobcopy can't ope file

Xine doesn't read some of my dvd, I've tried vobcopy application that 
fails the same, so isn't related only to xine.
I'm running Debian Sarge amd64 unofficial port however I don't think 
that problem it's platform dependent. Here the output:

frank@darkstar:~$ vobcopy -v

path to dvd: /dev/hdc
libdvdread: Using libdvdcss version 1.2.5 for DVD access
name of dvd: K3b data project
libdvdread: Can't open file VIDEO_TS.IFO.
[Error] Can't open VMG info.

I can access video_ts.ifo dvd file:

frank@darkstar:~$ cp /mnt/cdrom/video_ts/video_ts.ifo .
frank@darkstar:~$ rm video_ts.ifo
