Congrrats. I have a proliant 800 with a pii 400.  It has been a very
solid machine.

Sounds like a problem in the "bios", which afaik is contained wholly in
the f10 partition.  You might have to restore this partition before you
can do anything.

You will probably have to get the floppy image files from the www (it
has been a long time since I have needed to do this).  These are
bootable images I think, and will lead you through the procedure.

guy I talked to at compaq was Richard Black.  He put a bunch of info on
the www concerning installing on proliant servers.
