After googling my subject line, I found references to bug #329989 and its reported closure after a fix to gcc. I'm still having this problem with kernel 2.6.12-1-686. I've updated and upgraded, re-run alsaconf, and even rebooted, but, I still have the same problem. Please let me know if I need to provide more information. Any advice would be appreciated.
