Always be sure to get a digital camera (perhaps this
one?) that is recognized as a USB mass storage device.
It should, when plugged in, be a block device,
probably sda1 or sdb1. Then

mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/camera

or some such thing, similar to an external hard drive.
