good ...
( are you running password crackers while the machine is idle ? :-0 )

custom case is expensive ( time and labor and parts )

486 might be AT style mb?? vs newer atx

- re-packaging the midtower and full towers into a 2U box will save lots
of space if you want to save space and can find 2Us off ebay or some
other cheap places ( like local surplus stores )

- networking together ...
	- just use a $10 10/100 ethernet hub and get the cables
	- use the 486 as the gateway to get out of the house to the world

- to share compute power ..
	- make your athlon the file server

	- the p2 and 486 machines are just "dumb x11 terminals"
and boots and runns off cdrom or usb stick only ( runs in memory )
and its local disks in the 486/p2 are for user data or backup of
	the file server data

	- problem is if the file server dies, everybody is dead ..
so your p3 machine will be the backup fileserver

means you're probably needing a kvm .. and lots of cables

a simple 2x4 will also work to house all the cases inside with a flat
table top ... ( it'd be a noisy and warm table?? )
