Apologies, It really is a matter of patience. I had to tediously install all the dependences and sub dependencies. In order to finally dpkg -i ktechlab, I had to pull libxrend1 (1:0.9.0-1) down from testing. So, it is not _quite_ true that ktechlab is up for sarge. Thanks a lot. Joe
