Debian Unstable kills MatlabR14



Anyone running Matlab under Unstable?

I'm running a few-days-old Unstable.  I can't pinpoint the cause of
the problem yet because I haven't run matlab for a month.  But here's
what I know:

I'm running homebrew kernel 2.6.12.5 (also at least .12.3, same
problem, going to check on some others now).  libc6 2.3.5-4, other
deps are given below.  What else is relevant?  Any ideas would be
greatly appreciated!  Same thing with and without java (-nojvm), and
under zsh and bash...

Matlab behaves fine until I try to take an outer product (!?).  I've
tried all settings of MALLOC_CHECK_, here's the output with
MALLOC_CHECK_=1:
