beagle only searches to a depth of 1 directory?

Hi,

I noticed beagle found it's way into sid, so I thought I'd give it a
whirl.

It does work..., but not very well :(

I can't seem to manage to get files to be indexed if they are in a
subdirectory of a toplevel directory of $HOME.

e.g.,

say I open up best and search for beagle:

then in a terminal I do the following:

$ echo beagle > 1.txt
$ mkdir foo
$ cd foo
$ echo beagle > 2.txt
$ mkdir bar
$ cd bar
$ echo beagle > 3.txt

1.txt and 2.txt are picked up and indexed, but 3.txt and any files below
directory bar never seem to be indexed.

Anybody got any ideas?

Also, is it possible to specify which extensions are indexed as plain
text? e.g., how can I get beagle to index latex files? Or must I wait
for (or write) a latex filter?

cheers

dc
