Hi, we need a new serverrack for our Debian 3.1 (stable) server.
First we looked at Fujitsu RX100-S2, but after reading this posting http://lists.debian.org/debian-user/2005/05/msg01763.html
I thought not to get it cause of the Raidcontroller. Anybody got a tip for a
quite cheap Serverrack (ca. 1500,- €). It needs to have Raid 0 and must be supported by Debian stable. By
the way the Server is doing a lot of database queries and is doing searches in
the internet, so the bottleneck for Performance is the harddrive performance I
think. So we don’t need a multiprocessor

dachte ich mir das wäre zu unsicher. Hat jemand vielleicht einen guten Tipp für
nicht zu teures Serverrack (ca. 1500,-€). Ein Serverrack mit Raid 0,
welches ohne große Probleme von Debian stable unterstützt wird. Der server
selbst bearbeitet viele Datenbankanfragen und sucht währenddessen im Internet,
so dass ich glaube das die Festplattenleistung der Flaschenhals für die
Gesamtleistung sein wird und wir auch kein Doppelprozessorsystem brauchen. Oder?
