Often the easiest way to find the appropriate site for a mailing list
is to search for the list name in your favorite search engine. It's
also a great way to find more targetted information, so that if you're
looking for information on Spacely Sprockets model X13, you could
search for "site:spacelysprockets.com x13" for more authoritative
information than searching for "spacely sprockets x13".
That still doesn't help if the site has asked not to have a particular
useful directory indexed.
