xscreensaver-demo crashing on Sarge

Hello. I am using Sarge on a Dell OptiPlex GX 110 (which i believe has
i810 graphics) and am trying to get xscreensaver setup. When i run
xscreensaver-demo, i get errors on the terminal from which i ran it.
Some screen savers work perfectly when i preview them, but most of them
cause xscreensaver-demo to crash when i leave the preview. I've
included a sample of the types of errors that occur on the terminal. Is
there something i'm missing? I have the DRI module loaded in my
/etc/X11/XF86Config-4. If necessary, i can post my XF86Config-4 and/or
a list of packages that are installed.

Also, some of the screen savers display error messages in yellow text in
the upper left corner of the display while they are running. The screen
savers that do this seem to work OK, but they give errors. Is there a
way to send errors to /dev/null instead of writing them on the screen?
