I logged in locally via lynx as suggested before. When editing the trusted IP addresses webmin suggested to define ranges in the format 192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0 instead of 192.168.0.0/24 After inserting the allowed clients like that Webmin was accessible remotely without problems. best wishes Reiner
