yup.. if one ignores the "good practices", one could hurt oneself
( your machine gets in the wrong hands and things gets super messy )
"rules" and "good practices" and whatcha-ma-call-its are used by various
people/orgs for a reason, besides making a pointy haired boss go bonkers
