It's not removing KDE, it's removing kde: a "meta-package".
root:~# apt-get remove kde

KDE is a bit larger than 41K. ;-)
Let's say you got this message:
The following packages will be REMOVED:
kde kdeaddons kvim vimpart
No problem at all (unless you're using kvim). Either pull them in from
Sid or wait a few days and try from Testing again. Or don't bother at
all - kde and kddeaddons are nothing, and you probably aren't using kvim.
