I have also this bug on Slackware and I thing this has been reported as a bug report to KDE. I have found the following workaround: edit the configuration file directly; it should be ~/.kde/share/config/konsolerc. To know what you have to put for the font configure any other application for the font in question (this should work for application which don'y expect a fixed font like konqueror) and see what they have put in their config file.
